ACCOMMODATION

Take a trip to yesteryear and stay in one of our two bedroom miners cottages. They are very comfortable with Brass beds, bathroom, sitting room with a lounge, heating, TV and a full kitchen.

IF you would prefer a hotel room & the chance of passing Maud in the corridor, we have very affordable and comfortable double, twin & single rooms available.

Special Interest Groups

The Cecil caters for special interest groups. Why not get together with a group of friends and plan a few days away. Please ask about our competitive rates - we will be happy to assist.

Rates

The Hotel rooms range for $45 - $65 per night and the cottages start from $85 per night.

Rates in the cottages are for 2 persons, extra persons are $15 each per night.

Corporate & weekly rates are also available upon request.

Check in

Check in time is 1:00 pm Check out is 10:00 am unless prior arrangements are made.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations made with less than 48 hours notice will attract a cancellation fee equivalent to one night's accommodation.

During the high season, cancellations made with less than a week's notice will attract a cancellation fee equivalent to one night's accommodation.

Getting There

We are in the centre of town in the main street, just a short walk from the West Coast Pioneer Museum and the Gaiety Theatre.

If you are travelling from Burnie drive straight into town past Pringle's Supermarket for approx. 1km and you will see the Cecil on the left.

If you are travelling from Strahan, Queenstown or Hobart, turn left as you come into town and drive past the supermarket about 1 km.

If you are travelling from Smithton we are on the right as you come through town
