For accommodation in the heart of the West Coast of Tasmania,
you can't go past the Hotel Cecil in Zeehan. We provide the
perfect location for the tourist & business traveller. Our
accommodation is comfortable & affordable.
We are located centrally on the West Coast, only a short
drive from Strahan & Queenstown & even closer to coastal
villages Granville & Trial Harbour.
We are close to historic & wilderness attractions.
The Cecil is part of the Zeehan heritage for over 100 years.
It is the only historic hotel that has operated continuously
since it opened its doors in 1900. It was built as a grand hotel
when the city had a population of 10,000 people and still
provides social & entertainment needs to the people of
Zeehan.
This grand old lady has her own resident ghost, so folklore
claims - one Maud Wrathall who sued the first publican, Andrew
Anderson for Breach of Promise. She had her day in Court in 1902
& is said to roam the corridors on occasions.
We have ample parking for cars, trucks, trailers and under
cover parking for bikes.
